Our History

WeFam United Inc. came into fruition in 2014 as a result of Major League Baseball player Jemile Weeks' passion to help youth which were caught in the cycle of poverty and underrepresentation. Coming from humble beginnings himself, Jemile understood the struggles of many minorities and felt led to give insight and guidance to those who were once neighbors and peers. The name WeFam United serves as a constant reminder that we are all connected and are indebted to ensure the well-being of one another, like family.

Since its inaugural year  WeFam United Inc. has provided a variety of programs to youth and families in underserved communities with programs such as The WeFam Summer Camp, Father’s Initiative, Back to School Drive, and our Feed The City and Toy Giveaway. It is our belief that these annual programs allow WeFam United to build trust with those within the communities we serve, resulting in honest feedback and genuine results.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower and educate at-risk youth and their families through the means of sports, self awareness and etiquette, while at the same time, change the narrative of our underserved youth.
